運輸署回覆如下


現時巴士的空調系統與密封式的車廂是互相配合的設計。這設計除可為乘客提供一個溫度適中的乘車環境外，更可避免車廂內的乘客受到天氣狀況及馬路環境(例如風雨、車輛廢氣和塵粒等)的影響，其一體化的車廂設計亦可降低巴士乘客受車外噪音影響的程度，從而為乘客提供一個寧靜、潔淨和舒適的旅程。此外，巴士空調系統在調節車廂度功能以外，同時亦具備抽濕及除味的功能，能有效減低車廂內因乘客聚集而產生的人體濕氣和氣味。


由於每一位乘客對溫度的感覺不盡相同，若有乘客因個人理由而將車窗打開，除了會令其他乘客感到車廂內環境不一致外，亦會因車廂恆溫環境不時改變而導致空調系統未能發揮最高的效能，反而會耗用更加多的能源。


基於以上原因，運輸署認為現時空調巴士的設計較符合大部份乘客的需要，毋須硬性規定巴士公司作出改動。

Then why the bus driver can open a window ?
Why the temp. of upper deck and lower deck may not be the same ?
Why the seats close to/under air outlets are freezing cold ?
Why we cannot close/adjust the cold air outlets on many types of AC bus ?
Why we have to breathe stale air in AC buses ?
Why AC buses temp. cannot be adjusted ?
